Li Xin's history begins as a servant alongside his best friend Piao, both dreaming of becoming Great Generals. After Piao was taken and later returned mortally wounded, Xin met Ying Zheng, a boy identical to Piao who served as his body double. Motivated by Piao's death in the Cheng Jiao Faction power struggle, Xin helped Ying Zheng escape Liu Bu's soldiers with He Liao Diao's aid. He enlisted in the Qin army where General Wang Qi recognized his abilities, appointing him leader of the Fei Xin Unit. This unit included lieutenants Qiang Lei and Yuan. During the battle against the State of Zhao, Xin developed great respect for Ying Zheng, intertwining their paths. Following the invasion of the Wei State, he was promoted to lead a 1,000-man unit.

In Their Own Story

Xin's path changed when Piao returned on the verge of death, urging him to seek out Ying Zheng in another village. There, Xin learned that Piao had been killed by an assassin hired by Cheng Jiao's faction while serving as a body double. Initially furious at King Zheng for causing this, Xin decided to aid him in ousting his younger half-brother and reclaiming the Qin throne. After succeeding, Xin began his military life as a soldier and then commander on the battlefields of the warring states. He relentlessly pursued his goal of becoming the 'Greatest General in the World' while helping King Zheng achieve unification. Wang Qi trained him in battle and leadership skills before dying during the Mayang Campaign after being shot by an arrow from behind, allowing Pang Nuan to stab his heart.
